October 24th 2005: Anastasia finally saw her run in Zurich come to an end as she was defeated 6-0, 6-4 in the semifinals!

October 21st 2005: Nice win today in Zurich for Anastasia as she defeated Elena Dementieva 6-3, 6-7, 6-4 to advance to the semifinals. She will now face Lindsay Davenport.

October 20th 2005: Anastasia was solid yesterday, she won 6-1, 6-4 against Silvia Farina-Elia in Zurich to reach the quarterfinals, she will now face once again Elena Dementieva!

October 17th 2005: Now in action in Zurich, Anastasia played against Vera Zvonareva today, she led 6-2, 3-0 when Zvonareva withdrew because of an injury thus giving Anastasia a second round matchup with Silvia Farina-Elia.

October 17th 2005: Unfortunately, Anastasia's run in Moscow ended with a 6-2, 6-3 loss in the quarterfinals against Elena Dementieva:(

October 13th 2005: Anastasia played and won her opening match, she defeated Kveta Peschke 6-0, 4-6, 6-3 and will now face Elena Dementieva!

October 12th 2005: Anastasia actually had to battle hard but today she won her opening match in the Kremlin Cup at home in Moscow, as she defeated Magdalena Maleeva 2-6, 6-4, 6-2. In the second round, Anastasia will face Kveta Peschke.

October 7th 2005: Anastasia's run in Filderstadt came to an end as she suffered a 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 loss against world #2 Lindsay Davenport..!!

October 5th 2005: Wow, it was a very tough match but Anastasia emerged as the winner in a 7-6, 6-7, 7-5 fight against Dinara Safina, next up will be #1 seed Lindsay Davenport!

October 5th 2005: Anastasia announced she would not be playing Fed Cup next year: ''I've won it (the Fed Cup) twice, even if last time I won because Elena Dementieva helped a lot,'' eighth seed Myskina told reporters after beating German qualifier Stephanie Gehrlein 6-1 6-4 today.

''I'm really happy to have done that...these last two years it was two really great teams and the atmosphere was unbelievable. ''We have so many good girls who can play and who want to play so I just wish them good luck. I want to step aside now and let others have the chance.''

October 4th 2005: Anastasia is back in action this week, she is playing in Filderstadt and today she won her opening match 6-1, 6-4 against S. Gehrlein.
