October 27th 2004: Anastasia was scheduled to play the tournament this week in Linz but after all she withdrew from the tournament because of the flu..

October 17th 2004: Awesome job!!! Today Anastasia won both the singles and doubles titles in Moscow, just an oustanding day. First off, she defeated Elena Dementieva 7-5, 6-0 to win the singles title, she thus moves in closer of the world #2 spot. Then, she and Vera Zvonareva pulled off a huge upset by defeating the world #1 team, Paola Suarez and Virginia Ruano-Pascual 6-3, 4-6, 6-2!!!! Congrats!

October 16th 2004: Very nice win for Anastasia as she defeated soon to be (on Monday) world #1, Lindsay Davenport 6-4, 7-6 to reach the Kremlin Cup final!!! She will face either Elena Dementieva in another all-Russian final:) On another note, Anastasia was playing doubles again with Vera in Moscow. They defeated Schnyder and Hantuchova 7-5, 6-3 in the first round and Husarova and Maleeva 6-1, 6-4 in the second and they then won their semifinals 6-4, 6-7, 6-4 against Bovina and Petrova. They'll face the #1 doubles team in the world, Virginia Ruano-Pascual and Paola Suarez in the second round!:)

October 15th 2004: Anastasia once again needed 3 sets but she posted a nice win against Vera Zvonareva, she will now face Lindsay Davenport in tomorrow's semifinals.

October 14th 2004: Anastasia is back in action in Moscow and today she won her opening match against fellow Russian Elena Likhovtseva, she will now face Vera Zvonareva.

October 9th 2004: Anastasia's run unfortunately ended today as she was defeated in straight sets by Lindsay Davenport 6-2, 6-4. She will now head towards Moscow to play in the Kremlin Cup next week..

October 8th 2004: For a while there, Anastasia got a few of her fans very nervous but after dropping the first set she came back to win 4-6, 6-0, 6-2 against Elena Likhovtseva. In her next match, she will face #2 seed Lindsay Davenport.

October 7th 2004: Anastasia had a slow start but she won 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 today against Nathalie Dechy to advance to the third round, she will face Elena Likhovtseva in her next match...

October 6th 2004: Nastya is in action in Filderstadt, Germany right now, she has already played two doubles matches with Vera Zvonareva. They won 6-3, 7-5 against Hantuchova and Sanchez-Vicario on Monday but lost today 6-4, 6-4 against Schruff and Groenefeld. However, Anastasia plays her first round in singles tomorrow afternoon as she will face Nathalie Dechy, let's hope everything goes well:) was created and is maintaned by Pierre Cantin and may not be reproduced in any form without my written consent.
