July 31st 2004: Incredible!!!!!!!! Anastasia won a tough 3 set match today in San Diego losing against Vera Zvonareva 2-6, 7-6, 7-6 (15) in the semifinals. She will leave tomorrow towards Montreal where she is scheduled to play starting next week as the #3 seed... In the match, she saved 10 match points!!!! 10!!!

July 30th 2004: Congratulations to Anastasia:) She defeated Maria Sharapova 7-5, 6-2 to advance to the semifinals! She will face Vera Zvonareva next and a win would put her at #4 in the world..!

July 29th 2004: Anastasia defeated Chanda Rubin 6-1, 6-2 today, a big win that will now put her in the quarterfinals where she will face the Wimbledon winner, Maria Sharapova.

July 28th 2004: Anastasia was also playing her doubles match in the first round as she and Elena Dementieva defeated Elena Bovina and Nathalie Dechy 2-6, 6-3, 6-3.

July 27th 2004: Anastasia defeated Barbara Schett today in the second round in two sets, she will face Jelena Kostanic or Chanda Rubin next...

July 11th 2004: Congratulations to Anastasia and the Russian team as they advaned to the Fed Cup semifinals with a win over Argentina!!! Anastasia played and won two singles matches, she defeated Natalia Gussoni 6-3, 6-0 and Gisela Dulko 6-1, 7-5! Vera Zvonareva won a singles match as well while Svetlana Kuznetsova lost theirs..Russia won doubles with Kuznetsova and Likhovtseva up...a 4-1 win. Up next, Russia will face Austria who upset USA this weekend in Vienna!

July 7th 2004: By the way, Anastasia was also playing doubles in Wimbledon, she and Vera Zvonareva won their first round 6-4, 6-2 against Samantha Reeves and Elena Tatarkova but then withdrew before their second round..
